Excited to announce that we just completed the new website for our friends at The Pick-Me-Up Modern Take-Away at camaspickmeup.com
This was a fun project! We completed a from-the-ground-up site redesign with the goal of better communicating the upscale nature of their business (and to help differentiate from other delis and the Country Market that occupied the location before them). We worked to stay within their “friendly, modern, and classic” brand. The Pick-Me-Up is an unexpectedly high-quality twist on the traditional take-out menu found in other delis, and their approachable and easy-to-use site conveys this message.
We also completed multiple photoshoots for some of their most delicious menu items: sandwiches and smoothies, with pizza and other food items coming later as their menu grows and changes. With food this amazing, a menu without pictures just wouldn’t do! And for us, it had been quite a while since we last did food photography so these simple shoots were a great to get that back on to our plate (pun intended).
At the bottom of each page, we integrated a webservice using the Google Maps API. While not suitable for every business, offering maps and driving directions is critical for some consumer-facing businesses (especially for a take-out restaurant like the Pick-Me-Up.) This service also dynamically pulls the most relevant reviews from Google, within defined parameters; we’re glad the days of manually maintaining such things are gone.
And this is only the beginning; the Grow philosophy is to constantly iterate, to ‘improve, improve, improve’ over time as we learn what works for their business, what customers care most about, and what we could do better. Coming down the pipe: social media integration and a custom pizza configuration system that will enable their customers to pre-order the perfect pie. That’s amore!
